CHRONOPOST INTERNATIONAL OFFERS TO ITS CLIENTS A SOFTWARE TO IMPROVE THE ADMINISTRATION OF THEIR SHIPPINGS

Every time is bigger the number of companies that uses the services of express transport to deliver a great quantity of packages and documents all over the world, what motivates that the administration and pursuit of these shippings has become a key on the managerial administration.
Aware of this situation, Chronopost International -one of the main companies of express transport in Europe- has developed a software called Alex that is installed to the clients that request it and whose shipments are significant (this software has been specially designed for those clients that carry out shippings with regular destinations), and that allows them to negotiate in a simple way their shippings. Thanks to a simple terminal, Alex allows the automatic impression of invoices and listings, and the later computer transmission of this data to Chronopost International central system. this software also allows the realization of monthly statistics and it provides utilitarian programs for updating the file of clients and emitting the listing of the Chronopost destinations, and also offers a searching module for shippings.
As Adolfo Vergez, responsible of Computers in Chronopost International Spain, comments «all the information about the shippings is collected in a single computer position, and the computer becomes a consulting element thanks to which the client can foresee the cost of his shipments day by day, and he has also the possibility of carrying out useful statistics«. And he adds that «this software has been developed due to our continuous innovation aimed to satisfy our clients’ necessities, providing them the technology that allows to administrate their shippings in an effective way«.
Finally, to install Alex the client only need a computer (PC or compatible), a printer, a telecommunication card and, optionally, an electronic scale to weight automatically the packages.
